Stoicism becomes avoidance when calm, detachment, or acceptance is used to evade truth, grief, conflict, obligation, or moral seriousness rather than to discipline judgment.
A serious Stoic cluster needs a failure-mode page.
The most common modern failure is using Stoicism as avoidance. The person hides behind acceptance language, control language, or calm language in order to avoid grief, obligation, conflict, repair, or emotional truth.
That is not Stoic clarity. It is a distortion of the perspective.
This page matters because it keeps the Stoic layer from collapsing into self-protective restraint and internet quote culture. Calm can be real discipline. It can also be defended disengagement.
The practical question is whether Stoicism is making the person more reality-contacting and morally responsible, or merely harder to reach.
