Perception Model Dimension
People often treat anxiety as if it were mainly a thinking problem. Structurally, it is often a perception problem first.
Anxiety changes salience. It narrows attention, amplifies threat, and makes uncertain material feel dangerous before interpretation has even settled. That means the reasoning that follows may look disciplined while still being built on distorted input.
This is why reassurance alone often fails. The mind is not simply generating bad thoughts. It is perceiving the field through a threat-weighted lens.
The first correction is not always better argument. It is better contact with what is actually present.
